Daily Reset is a campaign created by Amity Community Services (Amity) to encourage people who use illicit drugs to implement a daily ‘reset’, through connecting with others, seeking treatment, or self-care.

Our services are also available to concerned others, such as friends and family, or for anyone who may be experiencing harm from illicit drug use in their life.

Why is a Daily Reset plan important?

It is hard to change without a plan. Many of us have tried to make a healthier adjustment in our lives without a plan and found out that it often fails. How many of us have tried to eat healthier, or get more activity into our day, but weren’t able to carry it out for any period of time? Often these setbacks occur because there weren’t enough supports in place for success. There wasn’t a solid plan.

Having a concrete plan in place makes the actions of changing easier.

If you are making change, you are probably busy doing some new things, and finding ways to let go of actions and thoughts that you no longer want to have. This is a time when you act differently. You might choose to respond differently to triggers in your life – the people, places and things that you relate to the cons of taking drugs.

Amity are here to help.

Amity offers confidential counselling services in a non-judgmental way and we encourage people who use illicit drugs to connect with us for support.

Amity has been providing services for people and the broader community for over 40 years.

We deliver a range of professional services and programs that encourage healthier habits and lifestyles to assist with harm reduction, for you and to support those who are important to you.

Amity sees habits as a usual part of life and we understand habits have both benefits and costs. We appreciate people go through different stages when working to change behaviour and we work to support your change process with rational compassion and evidence informed practical tips and strategies.

A little conversation goes a long way.

Amity works with people to understand their needs, enabling us to work collaboratively in planning tips and strategies, building upon current skills and/or developing new skills that may assist people in practical ways when changing. Amity works in a manner that is non-judgemental, supportive and encouraging.
